"Nessun vento è favorevole per il marinaio che non sa dove andare "(L.A.Seneca)

The city museum hosts temporary exhibitions continuously and is located in the district called "La Venezia" due to the particularity of being crossed by the navigable canals (which in Livorno are called "Fossi") of Medici origin. Currently and until next 03/19/2023 the museum is hosting the exhibition entitled "Banksy: capitalist realism. An unauthorized exhibition" which presents a retrospective on the controversial British artist. Among the works certainly of greater interest is the little girl with the balloon and the flower thrower which are two of his most iconic works. The museum is open from Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 20.00 and on Saturdays from 10.00 to 22.00.
